primary requirements

Essential Skills / Qualifications:

  1.   HND/HNC but must have good first hand knowledge of the subsea engineering environment. (Candidates/job-holders without the relevant formal qualifications above but possessing other academic or vocational qualifications or who can demonstrate a greater level of relevant practical experience with a proven track-record may be considered equally competent.)
  2.   Demonstrable relevant Engineering experience preferably within the Oil and Gas industry.
  3.   Proficient in Microsoft Windows, Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint

primary duties

  •  The management and support of the allocated Clients’ assets, to include the co-ordination and monitoring of all work scopes, costs and schedules.
  •  To ensure the contractual and technical compliance of all tasks associated with the delivery of work scopes are executed in accordance with Company and client procedures requirements.
  •  To provide direct liaison with all other AS Ltd departments and suppliers on the Clients’ behalf in execution of the scope of work.
  •  Responsible for the review and management of minor changes to documentation, drawings, data sheets, manuals and procedures as required.
  •  Improve and maintain a high quality relationship with the Client and embed the principles of Customer Focus in all activities and tasks
  •  Manage and deliver engineered and maintained equipment within agreed timescales and budgets.
  •   Organise and support the allocated Client assets and all technical and engineering issues.
  •   Ensure compliance with technical integrity standards and Company procedures.
  •   Ensure work packages and documentation are compiled and controlled in accordance with company/contract procedures.
  •   Assist in the monitoring and control of the budget and schedule in order to ensure targets are met.
  •   Help co-ordinate all interface and change management activities for the work
  •   Participate in the Design and Safety Reviews, HAZOP, HAZIDs, Risk Assessments etc

  •   Provide support to the Lead Lifecycle Support Engineer and Account Manager as appropriate, on issues affecting the timely delivery and execution of the work
  •   Define and acquire the resources required for planning and execution to meet the goals and objectives of the tasks.
  •   Liaise with third parties and client representatives as required on the contractually agreed scope of supply or service.
  •   Identify and manage variations and change to the contractual scope of supply.
  •   Be responsible for the control of equipment budgets and delivery timelines, liaising with the cost controller to manage and control costs and cash flow, to maintain or improve margins.
  •   Liaise with the Senior Subsea Controls Engineers or CoE product engineers as appropriate, with respect to technical changes affecting scope of supply or system design functionality.
  •   Monitor and report on progress and deliverables through regular review meetings.
  •   Ensure all work packages are closed out in accordance with company and client procedures and requirements.
  •   Actively develop best in class relationships with the Client and demonstrate involvement in continuous improvement specifically with respect to Client.
  •   Participate in the 24 hr On Call support rota on completion of 6 months in the role of Lifecycle Support engineer, having been mentored by a competent engineer during their initial 2 periods on the rota and confirmed as qualified to perform the role.
