Essential Skills / Qualifications:
- University Degree (B.Com, Engineering, Finance) or equivalent
- A minimum of 10 years progressive relevant supply chain management experience in the offshore oil and gas field service industry
- Strong supply chain management skills and knowledge of strategic sourcing techniques
primary duties
The Role:
- Develop and implement procurement and sub-contracting strategies and processes that support the capital procurement process
- During acquisition activities, bring a fresh perspective to the existing supply chain structure to drive incremental value
- Establish and lead the contract management process, including developing approved supplier lists and performance metric tracking
- Drive innovation into relationships with suppliers, by bringing a new mind-set to risk allocation and risk sharing with service and equipment providers
- Bring new ideas to capture material reductions in the existing cost base and drive efficiencies into all parts of the supply chain
- Manage the process of tendering, awarding, negotiating and administering of equipment and services contracts to support all operations and capital projects
- Executing contracts that properly reflect the requirements and ensure that all identified risks are assessed and appropriately mitigated
- Developing, implementing and maintaining standardised field supply chain work practices in inventory planning, inventory management, requisitioning and procurement.

- Ensure a Supply Chain Engagement plan is developed, implemented and communicated across all potential Suppliers;
- Engage with and prepare the rolling stock industry for the scale of the projects procurement;
- Make certain that supply opportunities are advertised to a broad base of rolling stock companies;
- Review commodity spend across the piece to ensure that the project is achieving best value for money scenarios;
- Provide regular market intelligence on the rolling stock supply market, performance and financials from other Projects;
- Position HS2 as a client choice for suppliers in the rolling stock industry;
- Identify measures to achieve rolling stock supply chain improvement;
- Develop a collaborative approach to supply chain management;
- Establish a rolling stock industry capacity model;
- Identification and early engagement of strategic suppliers;
- Undertake Supply Chain Mapping to identify strengths, weaknesses, opportunities and risks in the market place.
