primary requirements
Skills & Experience A strong background managing operations to the highest Operational, Quality, Health & Safety, Production and Environmental standards. The ideal candidate will come from an SME business and have experienced high growth within that setting. The following attributes are also highly desirable:
- Developed bespoke functionality from warehouse management systems (WMS).
- Managed warehouse operations / teams within an FMCG environment.
- Experience of controlling H&S, Facilities, HR issues, and Performance Management.
- Experience within a production environment.
- Management of third party carriers for inbound, and outbound distribution.
- Achieving and managing ISO 9001/14001 certification
- E-commerce experience: implementation / development.
- Knowledge end to end supply chain/purchasing operations encompassing Far East Supply Chain, and Production functions.
primary duties
Managing their warehouse, production and distribution facility, based in Manchester. Reporting to the Managing Director the role is pivotal to the success of this ambitious company, as they continue with their significant growth plans.

The purpose of this role is to drive the business forward, taking ownership of all areas of your role whilst providing strategic direction to the board of directors.

Experience of managing teams and communicating with different departments working in a fast paced and pressurised environment where speed of service and flexibility is of paramount importance.
Experience of identifying and implementing continuous improvement initiatives for all warehouse and production functions, with the ability to drive improvements in stock integrity through the ongoing development of the WMS. You will be hands on, being both people and technology led and have the ability to communicate at all levels.
