primary requirements

  1.  Mid-level to senior .Net Developer to join them on a permanent basis;
  2.  Able to work closely with Business & Test Analysts, clients & other members of the project teams to produce world-class web-based software;
  3.  Must have excellent skills in C#/VB.Net, ASP.Net, MVC & SQL Server;
  4.  Experience with jQuery, Java & CSS;
  5.  Have a highly analytical mind and very strong problem solving skills;
  6.  Able and willing to step up and do what it takes to deliver;
  7.  Able to commit at least two to three years before moving on;
  8.  Either has British work authorisation or able to receive the appropriate visa;
  9.  Able to start work within and no later than 60 days after offer; and
  10.  Excellent English and communications skills, including listening, reading and writing as well as being able to clearly articulate and share your innovative, solutions driven ideas.

primary duties

Development:
  1.  Interpret complex financial business requirements and translate into high-transactional, high-availability, secure, working systems;
  2.  Design and build the highly intuitive user interface and interactive financial tools required by financial advisers and investors;
  3.  Develop real-time transaction processing systems that support millions of trades every day in investment securities in multiple world markets;
  4.  Work closely with our business analysts to design and implement new functionality for our major institutional customers around the world.
  5.  Collaborate with other developers to make sure that the solutions developed are robust and in-line with the requirements;
  6.  Support new functionality during testing and in production; and
  7.  Ensure code is designed and built in a reusable manner.
Design / Quality:
  1.  Provide solutions and recommendations for the resolution of technical issues that arise and ensure solutions meet the technical specs and design requirements;
  2.  Adhere to the defined procedures for code management, code reviews, coding standards, naming conventions and security standards;
  3.  Proactively resolve build breaks and overlaps to ensure smooth facilitation of the SDLC.
  4.  Write automated unit tests for any newly created code; and
  5.  Perform manual unit testing to ensure any changes made to the system are of a high standard and the system hasn’t regressed.

Collaboration / Communication:
  1.  Promote the development team both internally and externally. Ensure that creative solutions, tight code, tough problems solved are called out appropriately to the developer community, and where they lead to visible outcomes, to the broader teams and client engagement teams; and
  2.  Collaborate with other developers to share knowledge, best practices, useful technology, and opportunities for cross-project system design / solutions.
Technology:
  1.  Keep abreast of latest and/or relevant technologies, tools and methods. Identify adoption of technology, tools and methods best suited.
  2.  Proactively resolve technical (environmental, coding and testing) issues that impede development progress.
  3.  Assist in the resolution of technical issues when requested by other developers; and
  4.  Create novel solutions to problems by incorporating cutting edge technology or generic concepts.

Minimum Required Skills: ASP.NET, .NET, T-SQL, VB.NET, C#, JavaScript.   Candidate must be a .NET Developer proficient with ASP.NET, C#, SQL and have built or maintained large scale Enterprise applications or databases!
